Flying Arts 2012 Program Materials
Flying Arts is an arts and cultural development organisation which has been providing visual arts services to regional and remote Queensland for over 40 years. Conceived in 1971 as a cultural counterpart to the Flying Doctor Service the association has played a significant role in inspiring artists and coimmunities and helping to overcome the impacts of regional isolation and remote living. Flying Arts has left a rich legacy in Queensland communities and over the years many program participants have gone on to become celebrated artists, teachers and/or community cultural leaders.

Propeller were delighted to be able to work with Flying Arts again this year on a range of materials to promote their exciting 2012 program of events and workshops. These materials included:

A 16 page program brochure featuring the exciting range of workshops and programs being run during 2012;

An exhibition catalogue featuring the winners and chosen exhibitors in the 2011 Queensland Regional Art Awards;

The 2012 Queensland Regional Art Awards Call for Entries brochure and

The Artiz 2012 Young Artist Development Program brochure & poster. Artiz is a 4 day intensive training and skills development event especially designed for gifted and talented high school students from regional and remote Queensland who are thinking about a career in the visual and media arts.

Working on this project gives us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the talent of some of Queenslands’ fantastic emerging and practising regional and remote artists. If you get a chance, why not visit the touring Connection Exhibition which commences at the Butter Factory Arts Centre (Cooroy) from 3-10 March 2012, and is in Brisbane at the State Library of Queensland from 1-21 October.
