UPDATE:- 30/9/08 – Propeller Graphic Design win the 2008 McFarlane Prize for Pro Plaster

Propeller have been working with Pro Plaster, one of Australia’s largest plastering and plaster accessories distributors and retailers, for some time on their print marketing materials, catalogues and such like.

When Pro Plaster came to re-build their website, they chose Propeller.

After several months of development, the new Pro Plaster website was launched this morning.

Encompassing numerous sections including About Us, a News blog and the usual Contact, Terms and Payment information, the site also includes full details of over 400 products in over 100 categories. Product information includes multiple images – enlargeable on-screen using a neat lightbox technique, in addition to downloadable technical, safety and usage data in PDF format. A ‘Quick Facts’ table provides at-a-glance technical data.

In addition to a full complement of the company’s products, a ‘Special Offers’ section details offers from Pro Plaster’s current catalogues whilst products included in current specials carry a nice ‘on special’ indicator for the bargain hunting tradies out there.

If you need to find a Pro Plaster company store or stockist, a full categorised listing of stores is provided, grouped by state and area whilst a colour-coded table lets you know what part of the Pr o Plaster range the store carries.

A new ‘Resources’ section includes a full listing of MSDS, Product Info, Repair data and Technical Drawings for the companies’ products in addition to a listing of helpful and informative videos’ from some of Pro Plasters’ suppliers.

Built on our preferred Textpattern CMS, the Pro Plaster website validates to XHTML Strict 1.0, uses pure CSS for layout and styling and meets the WAI accessibility guidelines. Textpattern CMS’ provides full management of the site within a simple to use web based administration interface; adding and updating text, images and downloadable files and the sites’ various flash-driven banner advertisements are powered by Slideshow Pro and Director Hosting Site search is provided and visitors can subscribe to the sites’ RSS feed or you may like to subscribe to Pro Plaster’s monthly e-newsletter.

In summary, Pro Plaster is one of our largest website builds to date and having had a fun and enthusiastic marketing team from Pro Plaster to work with has made our job not only easier but fun to work on.
