01 03/2010 Pro Plaster expands into e-commerce

Propeller recently completed a big upgrade to the 2008 Macfarlane Prize winning Pro Plaster Products website adding full e-commerce functionality.

To save migrating the over 800 articles of information residing in Pro Plaster’s original Textpattern-based website, we opted for a hybrid site with the bulk of the website remaining in place with a dedicated sub-domain routing to a Shopify installation to take care of Pro Plaster’s online store.

Visitors can now, not only access Pro Plaster’s massive online inventory but can order 24/7 and have products delivered to their door. The site’s evolution has been a big hit with time-poor tradies who’ve been able to save time by ordering online either at night, over the weekend or even from on-site using web-enabled mobile phones, saving them a trip into the store or warehouse.

To integrate the two websites more fully, cross-site search was included and Pro Plaster’s ‘Specials’ are displayed on the home page.
