At last years Web Directions South conference (Australia’s largest web industry conference), it was announced that the 2009 McFarlane Prize would be commemorated by producing a beautiful, high quality hardcover book containing all 48 of the shortlisted entires, and last week the eagerly awaited book arrived.

Propeller were very proud to have designed three of the six finalists and be amongst nine of the 48 shortlisted sites. Propeller received recognition for the following websites:

The websites range from a simple, single page site through to large CMS (Content Management System), driven sites for a diverse range of industries and organisations. Propeller have always believed in producing well designed and built websites for all, regardless of size or budget and this recognition reinforces our commitment to quality.

The book (which now takes pride of place on our office coffee table), is a lovely edition which captures and preserves what the best of Australian web design and development looked like in 2009.

Propeller are now working on making the sites of 2010 even better!
