What’s Wufoo I hear you say? An odd name for a WEB2.0 application indeed but don’t let the name put you off; Wufoo is one of the most useful, value-adding web apps we’ve seen in a long time or as Wufoo’s developers put it…

“Wufoo strives to be the easiest way to collect information over the Internet”.

Wufoo’s HTML form builder helps you create contact forms, online surveys, and invitations so you can collect the data, registrations and online payments you need without writing a single line of code.

Although many modern CMS include form-building functions, many can be restrictive and in other instances, you may be looking for something the CMS or hosted solution doesn’t offer – a contact form for use in Shopify for example or a survey form to use with Textpattern…

We recently used Wufoo to take a customer satisfaction survey and Pro Plaster used Wufoo to add a competition to promote their new website.

One of the best things about Wufoo is that it is very easy to use – no html or advanced web design skills are required – simply use the XML">AJAX driven form builder and then either provide a link to the form on Wufoo or copy and paste the code for use on your own website.

In addition to simple data-collection exercises, Wufoo also has options for payment processing – let people book online for a seminar or buy a t-shirt from you – no problem.
