Much loved Stradbroke Island icon, La Focaccia restaurant (affectionately known as La Foc), is moving to swanky new premises by the beach. So while renovations are underway, owner Joanne Opie decided it would be the perfect time to update their identity with a new logo.
Previously La Foc used Boticelli’s beautiful painting ‘The Birth of Venus’ to communicate the mood and style of the restaurant. Joanne Opie commented: “Because the image has been synonymous with La Foc previously and is still very relevant to the theme of the restaurant, we didn’t want to change it completely.”
To this brief, Propeller create a pared down, line work image of Venus which incorporates the restaurant’s new colour scheme and suggests a more relaxed, contemporary mood.
The new logo is much more practical, being easily scalable to small or large sizes and will work in either black and white, or colour, in print, or on the web.
