Mendelssohn’s Manor was originally built in 1880 in East Brisbane. Built specifically for an English Doctor and his family of wife and two children. In 1995, the house was purchased by Mr Neil Mendelson and was split in half and transported to its current address here in Thornlands before it was to be considered to be heritage listed. Mendelssohn’s Manor was the last grand Queenslander allowed to be transported anywhere within the vicinity of Brisbane and has since been meticulously restored to its former glory by the proud owners the Mendelsons.
Forming the perfect backdrop for family portraits or your wedding day, Mendelssohns Manor is available for hire.
The Mendelssohns Manor website was designed to fit with the stately and traditional feel of the Mendelson family crest and features a gallery showing the house and its grounds and will soon feature albums of photographs taken on wedding days and other events. A full listing of Mendelssohns Manor’s preferred partners is also included. The site is built on the Textpattern CMS and is XHTML Strict and CSS2.0 throughout, featuring integrated search and RSS.
