Now in its third year, the McFarlane Prize, named in honour of Australian open source and web standards pioneer Nigel McFarlane is now open for nominations.

As keen scuba divers in our spare time, we at Propeller are passionate about the conservation of our amazing marine environment and are proud to support the Australian Marine Conservation Society where we can with some occasional graphic design work.

The AMCS is currently campaigning to save our precious sharks from becoming shark fin soup as the result of an alarming new proposal by the Queensland Government to establish a dedicated shark fin fishery in the Great Barrier Reef.

Propeller have recently moved. No doubt many of you will visit us in our shiny new office soon though for the mean time we have a couple of contact details which have changed;

As of 7 February, our new telephone / fax number is 07 3286 3963. Our old number will redirect for 6 months and we will shortly be adding a VOIP line or two to the mix. Our mobile, postal address, web and email remain unchanged.

In the last 12 months we’ve worked on some fantastic projects and with our website’s portfolio section (our work) freshly revamped I’m pleased to be able to share some of it with you.

Our previous portfolio was a simple one-page affair with email, web and print work grouped together but with many more great projects to display we thought it was time to re-organise and have broken the portfolio down as follows;

This year Propeller are delighted to be major sponsors of the More 2 Fashion: Redlands Excellence Fashion Awards – An exciting new fashion design competition for amateur, student and professional designers.

As part of our sponsorship, Propeller produced a colourful series of logos, designed to express the movement, colour, flair and innovative forms of designer fashion.

Propeller have also created posters & email newsletters to advertise the competition and will continue to assist the More 2 Fashion event organisers with programs and further printed materials, as the competition progresses.
