New Websites and Redesigns

User-maintained or full service?
As website designers we are constantly approached by customers wanting to manage their own website content but often they do not have any technical knowledge of HTML or the other associated technologies. We can offer several options which aim to simplify this process;
- Macromedia Contribute 3. Contribute 3 is our preferred option for content management. Contribute 3 offers an unbeatable WYSIWYG Word-like environment which allows you to input/edit/remove text and also change images, add new images etc. Contribute 3 also features built in e-commerce tools such as Paypal.
- Open Source Content Management System (CMS). For more complex sites, blogs, news or for users with a more advanced level of computer knowledge, the use of a content management system may be preferable. In this instance we recommend and use Textpattern where possible due to its excellent web standards support.
- Propeller Maintained. If you dont have the time to learn or just want to get on with running your business, perhaps its best to leave your site maintenance to those who built it! Depending on your requirements, we can arrange a site maintenance schedule for you and you can relax while we look after things.
